This is a list of some common questions about how to use HyperIM. This FAQ does not contain any information about any particular plugin. If you are looking for a plugin-related Help page, please search the Help center for that particular plugin.
You don't need to create any account anywhere. You also DO NOT need to use the same user or password as in your Yahoo! Account or other important account! Just enter your desired login name, with a desired password. The profile is just a file saved on your disk, locally. For your privacy, the statuses are saved encrypted based on your password, so you should not forget it.
Make sure that the plugin that provides that specific macro is enabled in the "Enable macros from" plugin list. Note that some media-player plugins have more or less macros than others, so for maximum compatibility you should use the Master macro (default name is %mPreset%) in the status, which in turn can contain any other macros. This way you won't end up with non-existent macros on the top-level parsed string.
Double-click the plugin name in the list. If nothing happens, that plugin doesn't have any options. For currently activated plugins, you can also get to their Options dialog by right clicking in the HyperIM tray icon and selecting it from the "Configure plugin" submenu.
Open the Plugins manager window (for example by right-clicking on an empty area of the HyperIM main window and selecting Plugins manager, or just press CTRL+P). Select each plugin that you'll never use from the list on the left, and then click the Unload button. Then click the filename that was just added on the list in the right and click the Delete button.
If you found a bug you can report it. Just make sure you follow the bug reporting guidelines
