So you use foobar2000 as your media player! Yes, it does have many plugins of its own, but did you ever thought of the possibility of showing what you are playing in foobar2000 in all your desired instant messengers, automatically? Or, maybe you want to send the currently playing details to a web server, to create dynamic "now playing" signatures? You can now do at least all of that by just using HyperIM, and enabling this foobar2000 plugin! This small plugin is able to extract twenty-two 'now playing' details from foobar2000. You can then use these details in HyperIM to create, for example, a dynamic status that will be automatically set to all supported IM programs that you wish!

Supported foobar2000 versions

This plugin is compatible with foobar2000 0.9.x. It is not designed to work with the older 0.8.x versions of foobar2000. The following exact versions were tested to work:

• foobar2000 0.9.4.3 - latest version to date

More tricks

- you can put macros from other plugins inside the preset or playing state macros. For example, you can use /y:m to have the Yahoo! status headphones show up only when you are actually listening to music.
